What is our method?

Based on an overwhelming amount of educational research, one-on-one student to tutor instruction is highly successful in improving a student's academic standing. Tutoring Solutions provides one-on-one instruction in an environment highly conducive to learning-the comfort and security of your own home, a local library or other mutually convenient location, away from the usual classroom distractions. It is this combination of individualized attention and secure learning environment that will enable your child to quickly get back on the academic track and reach his or her full potential.

Why is working one-to-one with a tutor important?

With the right program and a good tutor, working one-to-one is the most efficient and effective way to learn and practice new skills. Your child spends 7-8 hours of his or her day in school. During that time, he or she may receive as little as 5-10 minutes of direct instructional attention from his or her teachers. While this arrangement may be satisfactory for students who are performing at or above grade level, it is not an adequate amount of time to address a skills deficit.

What kinds of programs do we offer?

Our tutoring and educational consulting services provide you or your child with the academic skills and self-esteem necessary to succeed. With one-to-one or group tutoring, our caring tutors can eliminate frustration with homework and relieve test anxiety while teaching problem-solving skills in all subjects.

Our Associate Tutors

Tutoring Solutions Associate Tutors are state certified teachers or professionals with a passion for teaching. An Associate Tutor is a learning specialist with demonstrated mastery in a specific subject area, such as math or reading. All of our associate tutors are current or former educators with years of classroom teaching experience. They are enthusiastic, results-oriented educators who are committed to helping your child resolve his or her learning problems and develop the kind of self-confidence that results from academic achievement. Students are assigned the same tutor throughout the duration of their time with Tutoring Solutions.

Tutoring Solutions Curriculum

Tutoring Solutions uses the curriculum of the student's classroom. Our tutors do not introduce new material that will only further overwhelm an already struggling student. They work with currently assigned classroom homework and scheduled examinations. Most importantly, Tutoring Solutions students are allowed to work at their own pace.

What are our policies?

All student and family information gathered by Tutoring Solutions is kept in confidence. Personal information, such as test scores, performance data, phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses are retained for one year following the family's last contact with Tutoring Solutions. Customers may request that this information be purged at any time. Written consent from a parent or guardian is required before Tutoring Solutions will release any information to third parties.
