She has trained teachers how to boost students' ability to "do" math, thereby increasing their math scores and feelings of self-worth. In 2007-2008 Debbie served as an Instructional Coach for Tucson Unified School District. She has State of Arizona Teacher Certification, over 24 semester hours in mathematics, and more than 20 years experience in the education field including over five years in private industry. Debbie holds a M.Ed. from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Arizona State University's W. P. Carey's School of Business. During that time she was a proud participant in the Coors Service Program, Project BEAM (Bilingual Educators Accessing Mathematics), and a recipient of the Regents Scholarship. Her industry experience has included Pearson Education, Misys Healthcare Systems, and Arthur Young and Company.
