As a middle-aged woman returning to school to pursue a different avenue of career I was to revisit the dreaded math arena! Full of fear but ready to face it head on I registered for a college math class which resulted in my gaining Debbie as an instructor. Not only did I feel immediately at ease with her presence but I felt a confidence return inside myself. As the semester continued on I found myself looking forward to my math class as opposed to dreading it. I found myself enjoying the learning process with Debbie and found a certain ease in her ability to simplify what so many of us have a tendency to complicate. It was a great experience to be in Debbie's class. It showed me that no matter how old or how much I thought I knew, mathematically, it was great for me to go back and refresh my brain, and even catch all the little things that were missed the first time around.
